We've added some great new updates to the shop module to help both users and admins get the most out of their product sales.
Shopping cart added to the main navigation
The shopping cart icon can be added to your sites main navigation allowing users easy access to review and manage their shopping cart.
On desktop, the cart summary will drop down from the icon. On mobile, the summary will fly out from the right-hand side of the browser.
Users can add a product to their cart and they will be added within the bag icon.
The user can hover over the bag icon to see a summary of their shopping cart.
How to add the cart to the navigation
The cart/bag icon can be added within the navigation settings. Simply add a new item, select platform default and choose the shopping cart option and save. That's it.
Please note the cart/bag icon will only appear once someone has added a product to their cart.
The shop block has a new quick view layout type. This allows users to quickly view the product in a simple popup from a single click and not navigate away from the initial shop page.
How to select the quick view layout
Within your shop block settings, simply select the QUICK VIEW option from the layout dropdown.
Summary screen redesigns
The summary screens have had some design tweaks
Out of stock
A sold out label is visible on product variations from the front end.
Maximum buy quantity
You can limit the amount of a product a user can purchase in a single transaction.
Postal address in registration forms
The postal address field in the registration flow within the merchandise step updates the user's record within the admin.
Stock management view
The product summary screen within the admin now shows product variations and stock remaining.
