Automated Emails

Check out how each of your automated emails are triggered on the platform.

Your automated emails are the transactional emails sent to your supporters, based on an action. For example, confirmation of registration.

The emails set at Platform level are the default emails that will apply to all events and donation pages on your site. However, these can all be overridden at event or page level to customise further.

To ensure your automated emails are personalised, we use personalisation tags to pull in personal details about the donor, entrant, event and/or campaign. A full list of these tags is detailed here.

Automated emails can be accessed by navigating to:

Platform Setup > Automated Emails

Below we have listed out the emails found in Automated emails, and also when expanded, the default copy. This copy is our suggestion, but you can update to whatever sounds most appropriate for your charity.

Online Event Registration

These emails are related to event registrations, which include registering for a team, organisation, DIY events or as individuals

Initial Account Confirmation (ID 7)

This email is triggered when an entrant completes the first step of the registration process. It confirms they’re started registration and how to login in the future.

Multi-Entry Invite (ID 49)

This email is triggered when an entrant invites another participant to join the event as part of the registration flow, (normally on the Mutli-Entry step). The invited participant receives this email with a URL for them to follow and complete registration.

This is an email that is used when you have chosen to save your invited users as Incomplete Entrants. Remember to include {member_invite_url} in the content of your email so the invited user can complete registration.

This email is sent to the captain of a team upon completing registration. It is sent to the captain, instead of the standard Registration receipt (ID 8). If they have made a payment during registration for either entry fees, merchandise and/or a donation, then the receipt will be attached to the email.

Team Member Registration Receipt (ID 41)

This email is sent to an entrant when they have joined an existing team during registration. It is sent to the team member, instead of the standard Registration receipt (ID 8). If using ticketing and allowing entrants to purchase additional tickets from their dashboard. This email will trigger when a dashboard ticket purchase is made.

Fundraiser MFA Login (ID 75)

This refers to the Multi-Factor Authentication email that is sent out to fundraisers. This is a setting that is manually turned on when the Fundraiser Authentication Type is set to ‘OTP (One Time Password) Email’. This means they will receive an email access code instead of using their password to log in. This setting is in Platform Setup > Fundraising Options > Config.

Donation Emails

These emails are related to donations made to a fundraisers page, team page, donation or crowdfunding page.

Donor Card Expiry Reminder Email (ID 30)

This email will be triggered when a recurring donor's card reaches the expiry month. This email is normally disabled, so needs to be enabled if you are using recurring giving.
