How to add GA4 to your platform

GA4 is a new property that Google have introduced that allows the collection of both app and website data to help better understand your customer journeys.

In addition to using events rather than session-based data, it includes privacy controls such as cookieless measurement and behavioural & conversion based modeling.

It offers simpler predictive capabilities than previous tracking tools and helps drive actions on your website through direct integrations to media platforms.

Funraisin platform sites are already set up to handle GA4, so below we have instructions on how to install it and turn it on;

Step 1:

Add the Google Analytics tracking code to the platform in the Google Analytics (GA/Gtag/GA4) box on this page:
Platform Setup >> Tracking & Analytics >> Global Tracking Code

Step 2:

Update the e-commerce tracking option to be GA4 in the Tracking Method dropdown box on this page:

Platform Setup >> Tracking & Analytics >> Event & E-Commerce Tracking
